Work Life Balance Advice for Moms Working from Home
The pandemic has been tough for many, and that includes working moms like us. That's why I was so grateful to talk to Global News Morning's Liem Vu about how the pandemic is impacting moms working from home. In our brief chat, I share my top tip for getting work done (uninterrupted) while the kids are around and how to keep yourself from giving up on those tough days.

I think that we can all agree that we've been feeling pretty challenged over the last 12 months. If you're feeling overwhelmed and like everything is piling up as I mentioned to Liem, you are not alone.
I have felt waves of it myself since this pandemic started. Heck...since I became a mother 10 years ago. It hasn't always been easy, but over time I have learned some hacks that have really worked along the way.
Here's what I do:
- Listen to that little voice: I let it into my head and really sit with what it's saying.
- Reflect on my gut reactions: I sit with what my intuition is trying to tell me
- Go with the guidance I am being given by that little voice and my intuition: I try things out and am open to making mistakes I will learn from
- Surround myself with people who get it: I have invested in organizations and mentors who have been cheering me on and helping me with the areas of my business I need guidance in
We can't do it alone, and, what's more, no one is expecting you to. In the aftermath of International Women's Day, where the theme was 'Choose to Challenge,' I am challenging you to do things differently, evolve into your powerful self, shed those who may not be getting it, and don't be afraid to make mistakes in this unprecedented time.
And, most importantly, remember...you've got this.
And for those Mamas working at home while the kids distance learn...
The ones who could use some help getting some time to work uninterrupted...
Are tired of the mom guilt and the fighting every time they sit down to try to work...
I see you. And I've got something for you.
