How dating advice helped me make money in my business

The first time I heard the word friend zone, I was actually watching the television show Friends. If you know me, you are not surprised right now given the amount of tv I watch. It was the season one episode with the blackout where Joey tells to Ross that he's become the Mayor of the Friend Zone because he waited too long to ask Rachel out. If we spend too long building an audience, creating content, but never asking for the sale that can happen in our business as well.

Now, if you're thinking about creating an online course because you think that the course (with fingers crossed) is going to be the thing that finally gets your audience to engage with you, I want you to stop and take a breath. Because if the endless parade of freebies and opt-ins didn't get them to engage with you, what makes you think that an online course is going to be the answer - especially as a digital product that you're now asking them to pay you for?

Now that doesn't mean scrapping the course, if you've already started.   3. Spell out for your audience why your experience and expertise makes you perfectly poised to teach them and deliver the transformation that your online course is going to guide them to.
